Status: Paid - Full Time

Description:

Objectives of the position: The Development Coordinator is responsible for supporting and managing operations of the development team. This individual is the direct assistant to the Director of Development. As directed by the Director of Development, will help to identify and coordinate strategic initiatives of the development team in donor relations, capital campaign steering committees, and fundraising efforts through ministry events. Will manage the calendars for the Director of Development by scheduling appointments with churches and major donors and setting up and preparing for weekend church presentations. The individual is the volunteer coordinator for the development team recruiting and staffing special development initiatives. This person will ensure that the operations, atmosphere, and rapport of the development team follow Biblical standards.

Reports to: Director of Development
Supervisory Responsibilities: Administrative Assistant, Development; Events Specialist; Donor Database Specialist.
Work Location: Tacoma Administration Office.
FLSA (Fair Labor Standards Act) Status and Job Classification: Full Time, Non-Exempt; 40 hours per week
Salary: $21-24 per hour DOE
Benefits: 401K Retirement Program after 90 days of employment. Medical Benefits Program after 30 days of employment

Experience Needed:   Have experience in office operations and general management of running an office. Experience in supervising other employees/teams. Have experience with general accounting procedures and basic computer operations. Proficiency in Microsoft computer platform, Microsoft Office programming; particularly with Word and Excel is necessary. Experience in event planning. Experience in grant writing and non-profit special event planning is a plus.
