Summary 

The Field Operations and Materials Coordinator is essential to the effectiveness of our National Field Team and our outreach, as they will be supporting our team and students with the highly requested materials we use on campus. There are three key duties: 1) support the field team and students with materials, 2) order, print, and pack materials for thousands of kits, and 3) pull and vet material requests.

It is important that all members of Students for Life of America’s (SFLA) Field Team be dedicated and flexible with the national mission in mind: to abolish abortion. The Field Operations and Materials Coordinator must be innovative, tenacious, and execute with excellence, able to go above and beyond when needed.

The Field Operations and Materials Coordinator will work on site at the SFLA Warehouse and occasionally HQ.  

Essential Functions 

  • Pull and Vet Material Requests

  • Pull Students for Life HQ requests daily and connect potential leads to Campus Formation Coordinators.

  • Vet requests to verify they come from legitimate students and not bots or malicious people.

  • Support Field Team and Students with Materials

  • Own our kit tracker to verify kits went out, tracking information has been added, and inventory is maintained.

  • Provide materials for Field Team mobilizations, tours, campaigns, and projects.

  • Work with the Operations Team to fulfill Field Team inventory items to staff.

  • Print, order, and pack materials for Kits
  • Keep up with Activism Kit and Event-in-a-Box inventory.
  • Maintain constant communication with Operations Team on print and other kit needs.

  • Continuously pack kits, which requires sorting and counting thousands of info cards, sheets of paper, and other supplies.
  • Order kit materials.

  • Occasionally print items included in the kit.
  • Keep kits organized and labeled in the warehouse.
  • Organize volunteer kit packing weeks.
  • Maintain regular communication
  • Participate in weekly calls and daily group chats to report progress.
  • Conduct quick email communication.
  • Assist with administrative tasks.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, working 40 hours a week. You will be required to work from our warehouse in Fredericksburg, VA.

Qualifications

Competencies 

  • Strong ability to see projects through from start to finish.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • A positive attitude, good problem-solving skills, and a passion for serving in the pro-life field are a must.
  • Must be teachable to learn SFLA technologies and platforms.
  • Candidates must be self-motivated, a good problem solver, have an entrepreneurial spirit, expert multi-tasker, maintain confidentiality, able to work independently, and be a highly organized person.
  • Must have valid driver’s license, insurance, and personal vehicle to travel to and from HQ.
  • Ability to work independently and with little direct supervision in carrying out the core functions listed above.
  • A team player, as various opportunities to support your team will arise.
  • Motivation to be fast-moving.
  • Excitement for innovation, and ability to be creative in solving problems.

Physical Demands 

  • Must have the ability to operate technical equipment such as a computer and sit for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift 30 pounds and able to be on your feet for printing and packing kits.

Travel 

  • Minimal travel is required for this position. Travel would consist of being present at All Team Week in July/August and the National Pro-Life Summit in January, which are both in Washington D.C.

Required Education and Experience 

The position requires an Associate’s Degree.
