Sidewalk Advocates for Life is looking for a mission-oriented, detail-oriented individual to join our team as a full-time Finance Assistant. The ideal candidate will have experience in accounting and administration and demonstrate excellent organizational and communication skills. This role requires discretion, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to work in a remote work environment. Applicants must own a reliable computer, printer, and have reliable high-speed internet access and telephone service in your home. SAFL does provide a modest technology stipend to purchase necessary equipment. This stipend will be discussed with you if you are selected for an interview. Job Responsibilities
-Human Resources: Assist in background checks, onboarding, and training new employees; assist in processing payroll; assist in benefit administration; assist in maintaining compliance with all state laws and regulations regarding employment; assist in obtaining all necessary business and tax licenses in states where we hire
-Finance: Manage invoices and bill payment; ensure deposits are entered correctly; assist in gathering information and documents for annual audit (prepared by third-party CPA firm); assist in gathering information and documents for annual tax return (Form 990) (prepared by third-party CPA firm); other finance-related administrative tasks as assigned by the Director of Finance & Administration
-Compliance: Assist in keeping google drive folders up to date with changing employment laws in all states where we have employees (approximately a dozen)
-Technology: Help answer basic tech and access questions from employees

Experience Needed: Key Qualifications -Proven experience in finance -Proficiency in QuickBooks, Asana, and Google Suite -Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy -Ability to work independently, handle multiple tasks, and adapt to changing priorities -High level of discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality -Alignment with the mission and values of Sidewalk Advocates for Life
