Overview of the Position
As a part of the Pro-Life Generation, Students for Life of America is looking for a Middle-Level Gift Qualifier. The Middle-Level Gift Qualifier is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the Students for Life of America (SFLA) Middle-Level Donor Program by qualifying donors in the $1,000 to $2,499 giving range who can possibly increase their giving. They will communicate with new and current donors to set up in-person and virtual meetings for the Development team.
This individual will deal with important external stakeholders, as well as internal contacts at all levels of the organization. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, and organize a diversified workload. Extreme organization skills and attention to detail are required for this position. This position works under the direction of the Middle-Level Gift Team Manager to enhance and support the overall mission of SFLA.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for meeting your metrics goals through a series of donor touches that include calls, emails, and letters.
- Complete donor research to develop solicitation strategy and follow pre/post meeting protocol, gift pledge reports, and incoming revenue.
- CRM management
- Pulling lists of donors for mailing, emailing, and calling.
- Executing comms channel adjustments before and after tour meetings.
- Running reports.
- Regularly uploading notes, tags, and other markers to donor records.
- Donor Meeting Scheduling
- Phone Scheduling
- Twenty calls per hour when making outbound calls. Ten calls per hour if contacting highly cultivated lists of caseload donors who are answering the phone.
- Editing and adjusting call scripts.
- Email Scheduling
- Both via email merge in Outlook and individual emails.
- Manage donor meetings in Outlook calendar.
- Drafting and editing templates of written communications to donors for development staff.
- Presenting at virtual meetings by video call and phone.
- Christmas card writing for donors.
- Research and tracking capabilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree minimum requirement.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Candidates must have knowledge of grammar rules and utilize the oxford comma.
- A passion to be part of a pro-life organization.
- Trustworthy.
- Determination to schedule meetings.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively on a team and to build and maintain positive relationships with all levels of the organization.
- Excellent follow-through skills.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in fast-paced, results-driven environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills, maturity, tactfulness, good judgment, and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Position Details
Position Type
- This is a full-time salaried position working at least 40 hours per week. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Hours can be somewhat flexible by request.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- The Middle-Level Gifts Qualifier will report to the Mid-Level Gift Team Manager and will have no supervisory responsibilities.
Physical Demands
- Must have the ability to operate technical equipment such as a computer and sit for extended periods of time.
Travel
- Travel to bi-annual team trainings in January and July is required (if applicable).
Work Authorization
- Must be able to successfully complete an I-9. The I-9 is used for verifying the identity and employment authorization of individuals hired for employment in the United States.
