Summary 

The Students for Life of America Development Team Caging Agent be based in Fredericksburg, VA and will work out of the SFLA National Headquarters. This position will receive contributions, process donor mail, and deposit all contributions into the SFLA account in a timely manner. In addition to the below assignments, they will be given on occasion, miscellaneous tasks as needed by the development team.

This is an in-office position in Fredericksburg, VA.

Essential Functions  

  • Manage all levels of volumes of donor mail, as it may spike to higher levels at times.
  • Receive mail, process mail, input information into the SFLA CRM, Virtuous.
  • Export files in a timely manner to vendors.
  • Compile weekly reports to the Director of Development for the dollar and mail volume amount of mail.
  • Pick up mail at local P.O. box to cage in the SFLA HQ.
  • Deposit donations into SFLA accounts.
  • Send any relevant information about donors to the Development Team to follow up on.
  • Ensure that all donors and donor interactions are tracked accurately and that individual gifts are acknowledged through a handwritten thank you note in a timely and appropriate manner.
  • Christmas card writing for donors.
  • Assist with other duties and projects assigned by the Development Director.

Students for Life of America is a 501c3 not-for-profit charity that engages in education and activism. We are made up of Americans of all ages, although the majority of our team is in our 20s and 30s. We run a fast-moving, grassroots organization that strives to innovate, unify, and lead. We believe the ending of abortion will happen when both supply and demand for abortion are erased. We believe that this is a multi-front fight as we must engage to change the culture but also to change politics. We do not believe there is a silver-bullet to ending abortion. We do not accept mediocrity, and we value leadership amongst our team and volunteers.

Physical Demands 

Must be able to lift 30 pounds.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work 

This is a full-time in office position. Must be able to sit for long periods of time. Must be able to work all days of the week, weekends, evenings, and holidays depending on need of the job.

Required Education and Experience 

Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required

 

Work Authorization 

Must be able to successfully complete an I-9.  The I-9 is used for verifying the identity and employment authorization of individuals hired for employment in the United States.
