General Description: The Development Associate will work to cultivate corporate sponsors, major donors, and foundations. The person will research and manage the execution of the private Foundation grants. The Development Associate will assist in scheduling small social events for the purposes of fundraising and pack supplies. The person will work with the Summit Coordinator in all aspects of the Summit.

 

Founded in 1993, NIFLA now serves over 1,600-member pregnancy centers nationwide. We provide vital legal counsel, education, and training to make pregnancy centers more effective. For more information on NIFLA, please visit nifla.org.

Hours: 32 hours per week

30,000 – 35,000

 

Responsibilities:

1. Foundations – Work with Development Coordinator

a. Research and prospect new Foundations

b. Cultivate relationships with trustees/officers

c. Prepare grants

d. Coordinate acknowledgements and reporting

e. Keep track of foundation submission calendar

 

2. Major Donor and Sponsor Development – Work with Development Coordinator

a. Help with quarterly major donor briefing

b. Help identify potential major donors

c. Assist in cultivating relationships with current and new corporate sponsors

d. Assist with communication with all current and new corporate sponsors

e. Assist with Small Socials – Assist in organization and pack supplies (average 6 social events per year)

 

3. Assistant to the Leadership Summit – Work with Conference Coordinator

a. Work with the Coordinator to learn all aspects of the Summit

b. Communicate with other groups that are helping with the Summit

c. Work with the photographer and videographer

d. Coordinate with local pregnancy center to help with the Summit

 

4. All other duties assigned by the president.
