Director of Marketing and Outreach
The Director of Marketing and Outreach is a new position to develop and promote the newswire service of the Daily Caller News Foundation (DCNF) within the media landscape and conservative movement. The ideal candidate is deeply familiar with the conservative movement, media, media platforms, and possesses a strategic mindset to drive the service’s impact through data-driven marketing initiatives. A background in using Meltwater or other media analytics will be helpful in the position to compile data about the newswire service.
The DCNF is a nonprofit news outlet dedicated to training the next generation of talented, conservative reporters and publishing groundbreaking, original news on issues that matter most to Americans.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Marketing: Develop and execute marketing strategies to promote the DCNF’s newswire service. This includes identifying target audiences, crafting compelling messaging, and leveraging data analytics to optimize marketing efforts.
2. Partnership Development: Establish and nurture partnerships with conservative media outlets, organizations, and influencers to expand the reach and influence of the newswire service.
3. Metrics Tracking: Monitor and analyze key performance metrics related to audience engagement, reach, and impact. Utilize data insights to refine marketing strategies and enhance the effectiveness of outreach efforts.
4. Media Booking: Coordinate with reporters to secure bookings on external media outlets, including television, radio, and digital platforms, to amplify the DCNF’s presence and share conservative perspectives.
5. Outreach and Opinion Pieces: Engage with conservative organizations and thought leaders to solicit opinion pieces and breaking news contributions for publication through the DCNF’s channels.
6. Social Media Management: Oversee the social media presence of DCNF reporters, monitoring metrics and identifying opportunities to enhance engagement and visibility through exclusive stories and content.
Qualifications:
– Deep understanding of the conservative movement and conservative media landscape.
– Proven experience in marketing and outreach, preferably within a news outlet or conservative organization
– Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights.
– Ability to cold call media outlets and organizations to promote DCNF.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
– Familiarity with social media platforms and strategies for audience engagement.
Salary Range: $65,000 – $75,000 (commensurate with experience)
