BACKGROUND
Life House Ministries (LHM) is a faith-based nonprofit committed to ending the cycle of homelessness and abuse in women and children through transitional housing, education, counseling and resources. In addition to offering support services to single moms, we manage a group maternity home in Marysville, WA for pregnant women ages 18-32 and their newborn infants.
DESCRIPTION
The Assistant Program Manager lives on site and will assist the E.D. in overseeing day-to-day operations, daily schedules, and the provision of support services to residents. This role ensures that the home provides a safe and nurturing environment that promotes the health, well-being and personal growth of residents and their infants. Compensation includes PAID ROOM AND BOARD, plus 10 hours of salary per week.
Daytime and weekend operations are primarily covered by the Executive Director, Case Management Staff, and trained volunteers. As a result, the Assistant Program Manager has built-in respite and flexibility, with only 10 paid hours of administrative duties and staff meetings weekly. This position is structured to accommodate individuals who are employed full time off site, remote work, or enrolled in full time academic programs.
RESPONSIBILITIES (10 hours per week)
• Assists the Executive Director to implement and evaluate program goals and services to meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of onsite residents.
• Helps establish daily routines with residents, including but not limited to household chore charts, grocery lists and meal preparation schedules.
• Ensure the home is well-maintained, safe, and a healthy living environment for all residents, and report necessary repairs to E.D.
• Ensure the home is well-stocked with food and household goods. If needed, coordinate with food banks, diaper distributions, and volunteers donating goods.
• Provides assistance to the E.D. to track and record all demographic information, monitor outcomes and track progress.
• Delegates tasks via a Note and Scheduling App to Volunteer Mentors to assist them during their weekly volunteer shift.

Experience Needed: Minimum one year of experience providing human services through employment, academic programs, internships, or volunteer roles, particularly with at risk or culturally diverse populations. Engagement in higher education is welcomed, but not required. Candidates may be actively pursuing, or may have completed, coursework in social work, counseling, psychology, or related human services fields.
