Description:
Centro Tepeyac Women’s Center is seeking a Marketing & Communications Intern for a hybrid summer internship (approx. 6 weeks, with flexible start and end dates based on availability). This opportunity offers hands-on experience in nonprofit marketing, content creation, social media management, and community outreach—especially focused on the Latino community in the DMV area.
Interns will support real campaigns and events, contribute to digital content, and learn about the unique communications strategies needed in a faith-based, pro-life nonprofit setting. This is an ideal position for a student who wants meaningful, mission-driven experience while developing their marketing and communications portfolio.
Key responsibilities include:
Creating social media and email content
Helping develop and implement digital strategy
Supporting event planning and community outreach
Contributing to website and SEO improvements
Presenting a final project summarizing internship outcomes
This is an unpaid, for-credit internship supervised by our Marketing & Outreach Coordinator. Start date and internship length are flexible to accommodate academic schedules or personal needs.
Experience Needed: Enrolled in a degree program related to Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or similar. Excellent writing, communication, and time-management skills. Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing tools. Pro-life values. Spanish proficiency is a plus. Interest in or ties to the Latino community is highly preferred.
