Campus Formation Coordinator
The Campus Formation Coordinator (CFC) serves behind the scenes and together with Regional Coordinators (RCs) to increase the level of pro-life involvement at a grassroots level across multiple states. There are three key duties: 1) to start new Students for Life groups, 2) to turn inactive groups into higher quality groups, and 3) to be willing and ready to serve as a substitute for RC duties if assistance is needed. CFCs will work on campus 3-4 days a week, and work the remaining days remotely.
It is important that all members of Students for Life of America’s (SFLA) Field Team be dedicated and flexible with the national mission in mind: to abolishing abortion. CFCs must be innovative, fast-moving, and gritty team-players, able to go above and beyond when needed.
The Mid-Atlantic Campus Formation Coordinator will be based out of Fredericksburg, VA and work from our HQ, 1-2 days a week.
Essential Functions
1) Start new Students for Life groups:
- Work to achieve SFLA’s 5 Year Plan: Campus Takeover, by starting groups at the majority of 4-year colleges in the region they serve.
- Find interested students through on campus events such as tabling, flyering, clipboarding, research, relationships, and other innovative means.
- Empower and mentoring new pro-life leaders in establishing groups.
- Research local target schools to find innovative ways to start groups.
- Build relationships and sharing resources with existing pro-life groups who are
2) Turn inactive groups into higher quality groups:
- not yet within the Students for Life network.
- Creatively improve the activity level and establishing relationships with Students for Life groups.
- Provide materials, advice, and more to groups and their leaders.
- Schedule trainings and tabling events.
- Strategically working with the RC in supporting regional health.
- Outreach and research virtually.
3) Be willing and ready to serve as a substitute for Regional Coordinator if assistance is needed. This may include, but is not limited to…
- Maintain communication with Students for Life groups.
- Conduct trainings and tabling outreach.
- Scheduling trainings, tabling, and other outreach opportunities.
- Mentoring and consulting pro-life group leaders.
- Auditing current Students for Life groups through research, calling, and other
- creative outreach.
- Substituting for the RC at a large event.
4) Continued functions that fit into all categories or are additional include:
- Complete assigned metrics.
- Lead kit packing days at headquarters quarterly.
- Table at large events like Christian music festivals and conferences.
- Enter data entry and regular use of a database system.
- Conduct quick email communication.
- Assist with administrative tasks.
- Collect community contacts to bring into the SFLA fold.
- Other duties as assigned.
Competencies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- A positive attitude, good problem-solving skills, and a passion for serving in the pro-life
- field are a must.
- Must be teachable to learn SFLA technologies and platforms.
- Candidates must be self- motivated, a good problem solver, have an entrepreneurial a highly-organized person.
- Candidates must have knowledge of grammar rules and utilize the oxford comma. This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Students for Life of America is a 501c3 not-for-profit charity that engages in education and activism. We are made up of Americans of all ages, although the majority of our team is in our 20s and 30s. We run a fast-moving, grassroots organization that strives to innovate, unify, and lead. We believe the ending of abortion will happen when both supply and demand for abortion are erased. We believe that this is a multi-front fight as we must engage to change the culture but also to change politics. We do not believe there is a silver-bullet to ending abortion. We do not accept mediocrity, and we value leadership amongst our team and volunteers.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time salaried position working at least 40 hours per week. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Hours can be somewhat flexible by request.
Travel
This position consists of a great deal of travel, as you will be visiting campuses all throughout your region in hopes of starting new groups. When schools are in session, you can expect to be on campus 3-4 days a week. Non-travel days will be spent working out of your home office, and 1-2 days at our HQ.
Required Education and Experience
At least 1-2 years’ experience in pro-life working/volunteering.
Work Authorization
Must be able to successfully complete an I-9.

Physical Demands
Must have the ability to operate technical equipment such as a computer and sit for extended periods of time. Other physical demands may include: setting up displays, walking around campuses, standing during display times, walking outside for long periods of time (door to door canvassing) and participating in local and national pro-life marches. Must be able to lift 30 pounds.
