Pro-Life Action Network (PLAN)
Status: Unpaid - Intern
Description:
Join the Pro-Life Action Network (PLAN) to make a difference for the Pro-Life Movement by helping to share Pro-Life Events with as many people as possible. Visit ProLifeActionNetwork.org to see more about the need that we meet.
Our goal is to become the go-to website for connecting pro-lifers with the events, organizations, and pro-life movement in general. As we move forward on this goal, we need more help! Your role would be to help with a variety of administrative tasks centered mainly on creating and maintaining social media content to both inspire people to attend pro-life events, and also to make more people aware of PLAN. While social media would be the primary need, we also would need help to update our website with any events that are submitted and sending out email newsletters. PLAN is always recruiting more organizations to submit their pro-life events – so organization recruitment such as emailing or calls could also be a part of your role depending on your passions.
Weekly Intern Role Tasks: ~5-10 hours/week
Social Media: Create inspiring pro-life content to be posted 4-7 days/week to get people excited to connect with the prolife movement. Manage any comments or questions on Instagram and Facebook.
Website: Update website with new events and registered organizations.
Newsletter: Update email template to send out weekly email about area pro-life events.
Organization Recruitment: Email/cold call organizations to let them know the desire that we have to connect activists with their organization.
Weekly meeting with supervisor/PLAN leadership to discuss questions and weekly goals. Update team task board with personal progress.
This is a great opportunity to join the movement and set your own path. PLAN is currently a small and flexible team based out of the greater Philadelphia, PA area. We would love to hear more about you and answer any questions you might have!
Visit ProLifeActionNetwork.org to learn more about our mission.
Experience Needed: Social media/website/communications/graphic designer experience is a plus, but not required! As an intern, we would help you to learn how to operate the social media, website, and newsletter software. A passion for the movement, and the ability to learn and apply new skills is a necessity. As this position is based entirely online - computer and mobile skills are also essential.
