Description:
The Sonographer is a part-time or full-time Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, who provides support and care for patients and maintains professional standards of care. Under the general supervision of the Medical Director and Clinic Manager, the Sonographer is responsible for a variety of clinic functions: organizing, obtaining medical history, assessing, planning, documenting, and performing limited OB ultrasounds provided by Aid for Women. The Sonographer also works in conjunction with physicians, nurses, and advocates to ensure that patients are receiving the best medical, spiritual and psychosocial care possible. Locations available in Chicago, Carbondale, Rockford, Cicero, Flossmoor, Wheeling, and Waukegan. Ability to float between 2 or more locations is highly desirable.
Experience Needed: Essential Qualifications | Sonographer 1) A current and active license as an RDMS or a Registered Nurse with a certificate of completion from an ultrasound course that adheres to AWHONN, ACOG, or AIUM guidelines 2) Demonstrated commitment to professional growth and learning within the industry, including continuing education and staff training 3) Demonstrated proficiency with computer skills and software programs used for documentation activities and report generation 4) OB/GYN experience a plus.
