ThriVe® Orlando is a fast-growing Christ-centered 501c3 clinic that provides medical services and education in a non-judgmental, respectful, and compassionate environment to women and men facing unplanned pregnancies.
We are looking for the right person for our fast-paced environment for a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to support functions related to activities and operations of ThriVe® Orlando Women’s Healthcare.
Job Purpose: To provide ultrasounds and train sonographers according to the ThriVe® Orlando’s ultrasound protocols
Qualifications:
• Agrees with the ThriVe® Orlando’s Statement of Faith, Mission Statement, and Christian Code of Conduct
• Is dependable, stable, and capable of committing to this position’s responsibilities and duties
• Expresses a desire to reach at-risk patients considering abortion
• Believes in the sanctity of all human life from the moment of conception through natural death
• Has a sincere, mature faith and can share the gospel
• Holds a current license with OB credentials and is in good standing
• Fulfil ultrasound training according to the Clinic’s Ultrasound protocols
Job Responsibilities:
• Provide early, obstetric ultrasounds according to the Clinic’s protocols
• Work together with the advocates, nurses, and sonographers to determine what the next step for the patient will be according to the patient process .
• Follows up with patients to report Radiologist’s findings as directed by policies and procedures
• Train nurses presently working with the Center to perform limited obstetric ultrasounds according to the Clinic’s protocols and to include yearly recertification.
• Assist in yearly observations/evaluations of operating Nurse-Sonographers for recertification.
• Establish and monitor maintenance and service agreements for all the ultrasound units
• Communicate accurately in oral and written reports and communication with all Thrive personnel
• Perform monthly inspections of stocked supplies and inform Nurse Manager of any needed purchases
Community Responsibilities
• Attend community events at request of Executive Director
Other Responsibilities:
• Attend Medical Team meetings as requested
• Attend All-Staff events as requested
• Assist at Fund-raising events as requested
Professional Development
• Maintain professional license
• Maintain BLS certification
• Increase knowledge of management, obstetrical, and gynecological care and women’s health issue
• Increase knowledge of the FOCUS linear process
• Participate in annual refresher and assessment for competency ultrasounds
