State Director – The Family Foundation Action

The Family Foundation Action (TFFA) is a 501(c)(4) non-profit, faith-based organization that is the sister organization to The Family Foundation of Virginia. The Family Foundation Action protects families and promotes responsible citizenship by giving Virginians the tools they need to hold their elected officials accountable, including educating and mobilizing voters in key elections. TFF Action does not endorse candidates for public office.

Under the direction of the Executive Director, the State Director will be responsible for running statewide field operations, managing voter data, and organizing grassroots statewide. This position is a full-time, year-round position with salary guaranteed and a benefits package.

• Possesses a strong work and family ethic
• Creates favorable first impression in terms of appropriate attire, appearance, bearing, and manner
• Two years minimum of campaign field experience

Duties

This position reports to the Executive Director and is primarily responsible for the following:

• Will be overseeing TFFA’s field operations and manage all field staff and volunteers for TFFA
• Will be in charge of volunteer recruitment and expected to grow and expand our grassroots volunteer team
• Will oversee all field operations, including door knocking campaigns, phone banking, voter registration, and mail-in/early balloting efforts
• Will be in charge of expanding our field efforts, and hiring and expanding our field team/operations—under the direction of the TFFA executive director and President
• Will work with other political action committees and non-profits when appropriate
• Help inform TFFA of on-the-ground politics and monitor developments on local issues and concerns of voters

Travel

The State Director must be able to travel routinely within Virginia.

Experience Needed:   Two years minimum of campaign field experience
